RedCity and Hudl Form New Three-Year Partnership

RedCity is pleased to welcome a three-year partnership with Hudl, a global leader in sports performance analysis and scouting. The agreement includes five Hudl Focus Flex portable AI cameras and access to Hudl Assist. Starting in the 2025/26 season all junior club and senior domestic games will be recorded with Focus Flex cameras and access to the footage will be available for all registered players to review to improve training and to cut up and share their own highlights.

Hudl’s Focus Flex portable camera system offers a versatile and valuable solution to having permanent cameras in place at all RedCity facilities. No matter which courts are being played on, all games will be recorded to allow players and coaches to interact with the game on a whole new level. Focus Flex provides high-definition video capture and an AI tracking system to ensure comprehensive coverage of the action and seamless integration with Hudl Assist.

Players and coaches won’t be the only ones who reap the benefits of this investment in technology; it will also enhance referee education and development by giving a new resource to our officials to watch back their games and learn. Hudl technology will also enhance the ability for RedCity to manage and enforce rules and codes of conduct with all game vision to be used for Tribunal matters.

Chris Angus, General Manager for RedCity Roar was excited about this new partnership and the value it will bring to its members:

“It’s great to commence this partnership with Hudl to enhance the gameday experience for our players, coaches and officials. Having the ability to watch their games back, create highlights or send their games to loved ones who couldn’t attend greatly adds to the connectivity our sport can provide. Plus, the development opportunities it provides from a coaching perspective and also for our officials who can learn from their game footage as well. I am thankful to Hudl for enabling us through their portable camera system to introduce this valuable addition to all of our members.”

Charlie Molloy, Hudl Elite Account Executive shared this about the partnership:

Hudl is proud to support the RedCity Roar, providing industry-leading video capture hardware and data software to foster an innovative environment for player development. This collaboration highlights RedCity’s commitment to their program and members, prioritising athlete education, growth, and success.”

The new Focus Flex cameras will come online officially from the start of the new 2025/26 summer season in October. However, you may see them prior as part of the transition to the new system while our court controllers learn to set them up and train to use them.
