D-LEAGUE
In 2024 RedCity Roar will run it's second season of D-League from August to October specifically targeting up and coming talent for players referees and coaches. Players and Coaches are supported and guided by Mark Hewish while referees are developed through Lima Lua Lau, scorebench under the tuition of Paul Lyle.
The 2024 season will be looking to add some extra features which will help the D-League become the premier is competition in Redlands. Participation in D-League replaces the open trials process for QSL and QSLYL. Players wanting to play in QSL teams in 2025 will need to be playing in D-League in 2024 (Exemptions apply to RedCity Roar U18 rep players)

The Queensland State League (QSL) is tier below NBL1 and involves Associations based primarily in south east Queensland with the exception of Gladstone and Bundaberg. The QSL has two divisions and a Youth League (U21) where Associations play in a relegation format between divisions.
NBL1 NORTH
The NBL1 is Australia's second tier semi professional league attracting NBL and WNBL players as well as foreign players. It is a national competition played in conferences. The RedCity Roar plays in the northern conference, NBL1 North. Teams have a points cap for players to ensure some parity between the Association rosters. This involves awarding players with a certain number of points according to the level of competition they have played at. Associations based across the state from Cairns to the Gold Coast.
